The first part of the document is for hobbyists who have built ZRCC from scratch. Skip to [[https:www.retrobrewcomputers.org:doku.php|here]] for ZRCC that's already assembled and tested. ===== Assemble a ZRCC ===== Refer to the [[builderpages:plasmo:zrcc:zrcc1:zrcc1_assembly_guide|Pictorial Assembly Guide]] for step-by-step assembly of the board Once the board is fully assembled and populated with IC, continue to the steps below. ===== Operate an assembled and tested ZRCC ===== [[https://www.retrobrewcomputers.org/lib/exe/fetch.php?tok=c8b26c&media=https://www.retrobrewcomputers.org/lib/plugins/ckgedit/fckeditor/userfiles/image/builderpages/plasmo/zrcc/zrcc1/dsc_56980428.jpg|{{https://retrobrewcomputers.org/lib/exe/fetch.php?w=600&h=271&tok=f2accf&media=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.retrobrewcomputers.org%2Flib%2Fplugins%2Fckgedit%2Ffckeditor%2Fuserfiles%2Fimage%2Fbuilderpages%2Fplasmo%2Fzrcc%2Fzrcc1%2Fdsc_56980428.jpg?600x271|www.retrobrewcomputers.org_lib_plugins_ckgedit_fckeditor_userfiles_image_builderpages_plasmo_zrcc_zrcc1_dsc_56980428.jpg}}]] [[https://www.retrobrewcomputers.org/lib/exe/fetch.php?tok=b01a53&media=https://www.retrobrewcomputers.org/lib/plugins/ckgedit/fckeditor/userfiles/image/builderpages/plasmo/zrcc/zrcc1/dsc_56990428.jpg|{{https://retrobrewcomputers.org/lib/exe/fetch.php?w=600&h=277&tok=3d180f&media=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.retrobrewcomputers.org%2Flib%2Fplugins%2Fckgedit%2Ffckeditor%2Fuserfiles%2Fimage%2Fbuilderpages%2Fplasmo%2Fzrcc%2Fzrcc1%2Fdsc_56990428.jpg?600x277|www.retrobrewcomputers.org_lib_plugins_ckgedit_fckeditor_userfiles_image_builderpages_plasmo_zrcc_zrcc1_dsc_56990428.jpg}}]] [[https://www.retrobrewcomputers.org/lib/exe/fetch.php?tok=6c73a5&media=https://www.retrobrewcomputers.org/lib/plugins/ckgedit/fckeditor/userfiles/image/builderpages/plasmo/zrcc/zrcc1/zrcc_rev1_annotated.jpg|{{https://retrobrewcomputers.org/lib/exe/fetch.php?w=600&h=278&tok=f26d8e&media=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.retrobrewcomputers.org%2Flib%2Fplugins%2Fckgedit%2Ffckeditor%2Fuserfiles%2Fimage%2Fbuilderpages%2Fplasmo%2Fzrcc%2Fzrcc1%2Fzrcc_rev1_annotated.jpg?600x278|www.retrobrewcomputers.org_lib_plugins_ckgedit_fckeditor_userfiles_image_builderpages_plasmo_zrcc_zrcc1_zrcc_rev1_annotated.jpg}}]] ZRCC requires regulated 5V, 250mA power from a 2.1mmX5.5mm power plug. The center lead is 5V and the barrel is ground. ZRCC also requires an USB-to-serial adapter. The inexpensive 6-pin CP2102 adapter is recommended because ZRCC's serial port header is design specifically for it.
