I added yet another LED (+5V), a DC power barrel jack, a different RCA socket, a different and less anemic 3.3V voltage regulator, jumper blocks for RGB color selection, a D-sub connector and a MAX233. I allowed the PCB to be larger (100×75 mm) and single-sided. I had to add a few wires on top. I used Geoff's software unmodified. One with MMBasic, one with RetroBSD, one with something else(?) and one just for fun (or for give away). I got overconfident when I built the fourth computer. I dropped the PIC, picked it up and soldered it 90 degrees wrong. All one hundred pins were firmly soldered to the board. I de-soldered the chip using a glass ceramic hotplate at moderate heat. I could lift the chip from the board after a few seconds.
